RESOURCES
The Iowa Department of Education, Area Education Agencies, and local districts have developed a multitude of resources and tools to support families, educators, and other interested stakeholders. The resources have been divided into two sections to allow users to access the resources based on a child’s age and the type of services, Early Intervention or Special Education, they are receiving.
Early Intervention
Birth to 3 yrs
To access resources and tools for families and professionals working with infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays from birth to 3 years old.
Special Education 3 yrs
to graduation/21 yrs
To find resources and tools for families and educators working with students with disabilities from 3 years old up to graduation or 21 years old.

In Iowa, under the supervision of the Iowa Department of Education, AEAs, local districts, and partnering agencies engage in ongoing collaboration to ensure individualized early intervention and special education services and support for all eligible individuals at no cost to the family.
